Fée described Plectocarpon pseudosticta Fée as Delisea pseudosticta in the earlier pages of this publication, but was then alerted to the prior use of Delisea by Lamouroux as an algal genus, so corrected the name in later pages, giving a new name Plectocarpon, for his Delisea.
