Notes
editorial
"Radula buccinifera was understandably confused with Radula strangulata by Mitten (1855) who cited collections by Colenso, Stephenson, and Lyall from the southern North Island in his treatment for Hooker’s Flora of New Zealand, and this confusion has been perpetuated in various manifestations. Allison and Child (1975) illustrated Radula strangulata as Radula buccinifera, and again in the next figure as Radula levieri Steph."
