Descriptions
Gregarium, flexuosum, opacum, striatum, utrinque obtusum ; labiis conniventibus (1/2-2 mm. long). Ascis clavatis. Sporidiis ellipticis, medio constrictis, hyalinis, multiseptatis, muriformibus (0.02-0.03 x 0.01-0.015 mm.).
External appearance quite distinct from any other species with murifora sporidia.
On bleached wood. (No. 54.)
Perithecia caespitosa, erumpens, coccineo-rubra, demum nigrescens, globoso-depressa. Ascis clavato-cylindricis. Sporidiis ellipticis, multiseptatis, merenchymatis, hyalinis (0.03-0.04 x 0.012-0.015 mm.). Conidiis stilboideis, clavatis, vel subrotundis, pallidis; stipite obscuriore, sporis ellipsoideis, hyalinis (0.006 x 0.003 mm.).
Sporidia resembling those of Sph. pseudotrichia, Schw., but perithecia caespitose, and turning blackish.
